Legionella control is important to public health.
Companies, such as ours employ specialist staff to ensure we can help your companies to keep staff and customers safe.
We keep all our training credentials up to date., continually strive to ensure staff take advantage of learning experiences on offer, and we are members of professional organisations, such as the Legionella Control Association (LCA).
We comply with the LCA Code of Conduct and our compliance is audited annually.
Unfortunately, there are a small number of unscrupulous companies out there.
The LCA report that, in 2021, they had to send six cease and desist notices to companies making false claims to LCA membership.
They also reported three companies to Trading Standards.
While there’s no rule that companies providing our services have to be a member, we see it as important.
SAS Water is committed to working with customers to ensure high standards of legionella control in the workplace.
As a company, we also provide training to help your staff gain the knowledge required by law to control legionella bacteria at work.
If you have any knowledge of people passing themselves off as LCA members, please please report this to admin@legionellacontrol.org.uk.
